Cluttered... but still homey.

Cluttered... but still functional. Click through to full size glory.

Hi again…

Been busy working on some VFX shots for a film… as a freelance thing.  Good to have in this time of little regular movie work… but it’s been keeping me busy.  I’m also preparing for September 27, and the Art Director’s Guild evening celebrating the Design of Star Trek at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood.  I’m Moderating the panel of renowned designers from the history of Trek,  take a look at this link for more info…  45 YEARS OF STAR TREK DESIGN.

I’ve also been playing around with one of the apps on my iPhone… called “Pano”… which uses the built in camera to make pretty nice higher res panorama pictures… thought I’d take one from my newly re-arranged home office… thought it might be fun for a game of where’s waldo.

For those of you who have been to some of the panels I’ve done at either San Diego ComicCon, or WonderCon, or CONvergence… you will recognize this little clip…   it originated in the early seventies, I think… during the time of the Animated Series… this was a radio PSA that featured William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and Nichelle Nichols in their Star Trek roles warning humans over the dangers of “hard drug abuse”… Mark Altman had a copy of this recording… and brought it to one of  our convention panels, we decided it would be fun to put some images to it, so I grabbed some shots from the Animated Series and cut them to the audio… the result is the “Missing Animated Episode…”
