Riddick Pre-viz
by DarenDoc on Jan.18, 2011, under Movie Design
I was flipping by AMC last night on the ole T and V and noticed that they were running “The Chronicles of Riddick”… it stood up pretty well, I think. So…
I figured I would put up this remnant of that show… a “sizzle reel” used to get the executives at the studio jazzed about what we were doing… This was “Previz” of a sort, but more of a previz for design concerns, rather than sequences. It was pretty good for its time…
A shout out to the Art department on the show… and to Director David Twohy who let us play.
This features designs generated by the whole art department, but the shots themselves were done by me, Steve Burg, Tim Flattery, and Brian Murray. Designs also by Matt Codd, Jim Martin, and Holger Gross.

It’s from John Williams’ score to “Nixon”… it’s called, I believe, “The Turbulent Years”
