TCM showed 2010 on New Years Day. I hadn’t seen it in at least twenty years and I was surprised to find it held up pretty well. Not the poitics, which were obviously way way off, or even the tech, which is sadly still well in advance of what we actually have. But the performances and the story were still pretty engaging and those Discovery set designs are still dynamite to look at.
