Daren Dochterman (DarenDoc) Is a Hollywood Concept Artist and Illustrator, sometimes VFX artist with a habit of trying to recreate the late sixties with modern technology.  He has worked on nearly 60 feature films and TV projects in the art department and VFX realm… as a concept artist, illustrator, and storyboard artist. He was  Visual Effects Supervisor on the 2001 release of “Star Trek: The Motion Picture – The Director’s Edition” He proposed the re-release of the Original Series with enhanced visual effects and produced a “proof of concept” section of the “Doomsday Machine” episode to get interest from Paramount.  They proceeded with the concept… but on their own.  Daren later completed the episode in time for the “official” release.  He lives in Southern California quite close to where Kirk fought the Gorn.
